How much did you love me....

21/7/2016

Would you stop to say hi in the crowd
or would you cast a timid glance over your shoulders?
Would you spare a breath to sigh
or would you ignore every sign?

Did you love me enough
to whisper the words
or is it that the Golden idols you worshiped
were fake projections of my fragility?

Did you ever wake up on a sunny day
and think: what a lovely day to kill you;
tell me, did you?

Did you ever feel sorry about it?
Did you ever starve for love
or did you make guilt
a cheap supplement to feed
your feeble consciousness?
Did you ever regret?
Or did you cover your frantic instincts
with your sick alibis?

Was it Love
when you offered me a bunch of thorns
from the wildflowers you uprooted
on our backyard?

They Kept Death Away
- now here is Death.

Tell me once and for all;
do not speak to me of what we’ve lost
we can never be a whole
it’s like hitting against the wall

there’s no fear but just shame
we dropped our Wings -
so raise your face and say:

would you still dare to look away?
