CONTRAST,
a way to connect. If several colours are put together, their relationship changes because of their interaction. How do four different artistic positions behave when they are put together and presented in one of Potsdam's most architecturally significant buildings of the 19th century? Are there synergies or are the works fighting against each other? This exhibition is thought of as an endeavour to build a bridge between the "old" and the "new", the "traditional" and the "experimental" by presenting aspiring artists at an established cultural location that offers the necessary space for reflection and enjoyment of art. With voices from Potsdam, Berlin and Athens, we want to invite visitors to indulge into the diversity of the exhibited works. The project, organized by the Potsdam artists' collective Projekt Panama and the Berlin-based emerging curator Vanessa Souli, aims to open a dialogue with the local public and prepare the ground for new visual experiences. We cordially invite you to our opening on the 2nd of August at the beautiful Villa Francke - an attraction for film productions and cultural events in Potsdam - to enjoy the beginning of August with us. We look forward to your visit! Artists: Justine Otto (Hamburg, Berlin) Allan Paul (Potsdam) Nadine Conrad (Potsdam) Dimitra Bouritsa (Athens) Organised by Projekt Panama (https://www.projektpanama.de/) and Vanessa Souli (www.vanessa-souli.com) More info and FB event you will find here: https://www.facebook.com/events/637473440066092/ See you there!
